Terms & Conditions

Thank you for choosing to book with us. We look forward to welcoming you to Bridgnorth. By making this booking you are entering an agreement with us. Please read our terms and conditions of booking below carefully.

Covid-19

If, after booking but within three weeks before your arrival, you (a) receive a positive result from a test for the virus, (b) have been advised to isolate yourself, e.g. because of contact with someone who has tested positive, or (c) show any of the recognised symptoms of the virus (loss os sense of smell or taste, high temperature, persistent dry cough, unusual skin rash), please notify us at once. Your booking will be treated as cancelled and you will receive a full refund of all monies paid to us by you.

If, during your visit, (a), (b) or (c) above takes place, please notify us at once. We shall discuss your options with you and your party, but the presumption will be that your party’s visit should immediately be terminated and you should return home, with a partial refund of your payment (proportionate to the part of the booked period you have lost). If your party is unable to leave and your stay is therefore extended beyond the original booking, additional charges will apply at the weekly rate applicable to your booking.

Deposit and Payment
A deposit of 25% of the total cost of your stay is required upon booking. The balance will become due and payable eight weeks prior to the commencement of your holiday together with a security deposit of £150.

If there are less than eight weeks between booking and arrival the full amount plus £150 security deposit is payable on booking.

All payments should be by cheque in favour of ‘A. Mawdsley’.

Cancellations (subject to what is said above regarding Covid-19)
On making your booking you will have entered into a legal contract and your deposit is non-refundable. If you wish to cancel your booking you must advise us immediately by telephone, followed by a confirmatory letter. On receipt of such a letter, we shall try to obtain a replacement letting. If the booking cannot be re-let, you are still liable to pay for the booking in full, even if we have not yet received your balance. If we do succeed in re-letting, you are no longer liable for the balance, or if you have already paid it we will refund it to you (less a 5% administration fee).

Please note that your deposit is not refundable under any circumstances.

We strongly recommend that you take out cancellation insurance cover.

Non-availability of Accommodation (subject to what is said above regarding Covid-19)
We shall only cancel your booking if your accommodation becomes unavailable for a reason beyond our control, and in that event we shall refund all monies paid to us by you. Our liability will not extend beyond this refund in any circumstances.

If for a reason beyond our control the property becomes uninhabitable during your stay, e.g. flooding or a total failure of its heating systems, and you elect to leave it early, then we shall make a refund of a pro rata amount depending on the outstanding period of your booking. Our liability will not extend beyond this refund in any circumstances.
